Paving the path toward the global teleportation network

PoP Teleport is the official teleport domain name registrar. We created and patented the idea for an easy-to-use, universal addressing schema for teleporation locations. Now we're allowing anyone to register a teleportation domain and attach it to a physical location anywhere on earth.

In computer networks, PoP means "Point of Presence." And with teleportation addresses, PoP is a literal term. Rather than just a virtual network node with no particular location like the internet, PoP Teleport makes it easy to name your global point of presence in the future teleporation network.

In addition to offering the fun of owning a piece of something that won't exist for 100 years, PoP Teleport also wants to encourage interest and dialog about teleporation among people of all ages. Just as someone who has already been born will be the first person to live to 1,000 years old, another someone alive today will probably also invent a practical teleporting machine. We will count it a success if we inspire that person to dream big and do it!

Why on Earth would you want to register a teleportation domain?

  • Because you'll get to watch that look on your friend's face as they go "What?"
  • You can show your grandkids the PoP Teleport registration certificate and tell them you used to be really cool -- way back in 2014.
  • You'll do your little part to encourage some young person to pursue a lifelong quest of inventing teleportation.

BRUCE

The Marketing Guy

Bruce spent the last 25 years doing marketing and communications for a bunch of really remarkable high-tech companies, including the world's largest consumer online network, the world's first multimedia CD-ROM shopping system, the first online network of official collegiate athletic sites, the first 3D interface to the entire Internet, and some other fun things.

He used to collect Marvel comics until they started charging more than $1, read sci-fi paperbacks and detective novels as a kid, and still has a first-edition Starfleet Technical Manual in a box somewhere. As long as he can remember, his answer to "What superpower would you want to have?" has been "teleportation."

Bruce lives near Washington, DC, with his very patient wife and two teenage sons who think he's a geek.
